Counts
Hi,
I've been using this nice tool to a few weeks and have just registered here to give you a few suggestions to make SQL-drill even better.
1. In the result-view please how me the number of columns and rows that the query generated !
2. Make an easy way to verify if a table or view contains anything. Currently I'm working on locating specific information in a database where 80% of all tables are empty so being able to right-click on a table and select 'Show count(*)' would be a lifesaver.
Apart from these suggestions I also have a problem with embedding ... I simply cannot get SQL Drill to embed my query. I can execute and see the results just fine. I can also paste them to Excel ... but if I ask it to embed the query it gives me an error every time (CommandEmbed_Click ... etc).

Hi !
Thanks very much for the suggestions. These are both really good. We do have number 1 in the list already. The 2nd suggestion is great too - thank you. I am hoping to get some movement on the next release soon. For the past while I have not had too much time.
For the issue with the embedded query I would first check to make sure the problem is not workbook specific.
IF you still have a problem in an empty workbook. Then I would try to use MS Query to embed the query. If MS Query fails too then there is a general type of issue (maye part of the mdac installation How to check for MDAC version).
If you can use MS Query but can't use SQL Drill - then please could you send me the full error.
One other thing is that - if you can try the same on a different machine that you can get access on... Basically check if is machine specific..
Please let me know how it goes and I will do my best to help. Also, thanks alot for the suggestions.
