conneccting to the root in SQL
I setup the connection on this add on exactly the same as on query analyzer, but it will not allow me using your add on to connect to the root of SQL.
I have many databases on each server, and want to be able to connect to one SQL server, and then be able to select which database like on SQL Query Analyzer, then work and join tables on the different db\'s.

Re:conneccting to the root in SQL
Hi
Thanks very much for the feedback.
This one click selection of a database - with SQL Server is not possible with the current version of SQL Excel. If you are using Oracle then the different Schemas are selectable with a single click.
The DataLink component (the component that SQL Excel) requires a specific database as the default and hence you only can have one available with the current version.
Sorry for that bad news. The addin has not been upgraded for sometime and I will be going back into it very soon with some major work. So I will add this item into the wish list. Would make it alot easier to switch if it was like that with SQL Server.
Please feel free to post up any other feedback as it is very helpful in determining what the next changes will be.
Thanks again and have a nice weekend.
