Is SQLDrill for Me? SQL to Excel Application ...
Hello,
I am trying to use SQLDrill to link data from a SQL database into an Excel worksheet. Essentially, I want to be able to put an item number in excel, and have SQLDrill lookup details on that item number in the SQL Database to fill in the row.
Furthermore, I would like to enter location data in an Excel Cell, and have SQLDrill pull the data out of my SQL Database and return a row for every location match.
Can it do this relatively easily?

Hi Jay
You can use SQL Drill with a small vba macro for this task. I would recommend you downloading the add-in and trying it out.
If you search in the forum you will find some examples of how to dynamically update embedded SQL queries - based on the value of a cell (or number of cells).
Please let me know how it goes. I am sorry for the delay in replying but i belive I did reply to this question through email some time back.
In any case, please let me know how it goes. Thanks
Al
