    Default Excel 2007 Toolbar Disappeared

I had SQLDrill installed on my computer (Windowsd XP - Office 2007) with out any problems at all. Used it for a while & completely love it!
All of a sudden, it disappeared from the AddIns menu toolbar. I don't have any idea what I did !
Now, I removed it through control panel add/remove programs, reinstalled it, then manually installed the .dll file
I see the SqlDrill add in under the Active Application Add-ins on my computer, but do not see the toolbar...
If I click on the button to manage andd-ins on the bottom, I do not see the SQLDrill at all... In other words, I cannot click it, because it is not there!

    Please help!!
    Many thanks in advance,
    Andrea.

    Hi Andrea

Please can you take a look at the thread listed below. The discussion is about "SQL Excel" - the old version of the add-in so you need to change the paths/file names.
Also, as your issue is with Excel 2007 - you need to check a few more things in the security settings area (dont have Excel 2007 on this machine so cant check it now sorry..)

Also, with Excel 2007, the first thing you might try would be to find the form where you can select "Com Addin" (cannot remember exactly where this is but it is somewhere near the area where you can select "Manage Add-ins" I think..) and then manually browse out and select the SQLDrill.dll file

    Here is the thread..
Tool bar does not show up after installation.

Please let me know how it goes. I am going back home tomorrow and will have Excel 2007 then so will be able to help more then if you dont get it sorted. Thanks

    Thanks for your reply.
I had already followed the steps on the thread (changing the file names and paths).

When I go to Excel options -->Add ins --> and onthe bottom under manage selected com addins.
In the window that open I do see SqlDrill and it is checked.
    the locatin is: C:\Program Files\SQL Drill\SQLDrill.dll
and load behavior is: Load at startup.
    I click OK.

I know that the program is installed and working because I can refresh some embedded queries, but I just don't see the toolbar.

Another thing, when I go to Excel options -->Add ins, I see the SQLDrill in the active application add-ins list, so it is active.

Thanks again for your help !

    Hi Andrea

Sorry but I didnt get a chance to look at this problem yet. This is a strange issue. I know in previous versions of Excel to 2007 it was possible to hide toolbars (by selecting View and then Toolbars), but I am not familiar with this option in Excel 2007. I will try to check this out tomorrow.

As an FYI, the embedded query functionality is a basic Excel functionality - and not specific to the addin. So the fact that this works does not mean that the addin is installed correctly. It does sound however that it is installed fine...

Ok, will try to check this out tomorrow. Please let me know if you make any progress. Thank
