Hi Mshulman

Thanks for signing up and posting up here.

Within the following article there is a section labelled "Configuring OLE DB Data Source for DB2 using Data Links" It seems you need to select a default schema on the "All" tab within the Data Links form when you are setting up your connection.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/218590

Please can you take a look to see if this sorts it out and let me know. I dont have DB2 running on my machine. It has been tested but by a friend of mine. I will try to get a demo version running for testing soon.

Thanks for posting up here and sharing the issues with everyone,
Al

PS, I will fix the forum up in the coming days. It is a bit hard to use now I think..

Hya Mshulman
Sorry for the delay there.

That is great it is working fine. Let me know if you have any probs at all.

I was looking at the pics there. Which bike is your ? The one with the orange forks ?
In any case, those bikes look great and it must be real nice to have an engine on there !)

Last bike trip I was on a specialized Sequoia with alot of changes on it. Basically only the frame was left but it worked out fine and was very confortable. I really like these bikes though http://www.heronbicycles.com/hog.html They are a bit old style which is cool. One day I hope to have one !)

For the last trip, I went from San Diego down to Managua in Nigaragua. It was really nice. Plenty of friendly people and stuff to do and see. The food and beer was very good too.
I have been to several countries in south america on the bike (other trips) but unfortunately never made it as far as Argentina.. Only hear good things about it and I really hope to get there some day.

See you later and thanks again,
Al

No, Al, my bike has only one ponypower (when I'm on it...)...
I'm attaching a Olmo City bike pic for you..
You can see my one in the "Reunión motera del 04/05/2008 en Parque Roca" album, pic 3 of 23, it's a blue one at the tree.

Y si estuviste por Sudamérica, ¿aprendiste algo de español?

and returning to the theme of SQL, a freeware SQL client very powerful I use is the SQuirreL, read its specifications in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQuirreL_SQL_Client and you can download from http://www.squirrelsql.org/

I see it there now. It looks like a very confortable ride - the Olmo city.
Any with the 28 inch wheels there is not need for an engine anyway !)

Y por español, yo puedo hablo un poco. Pero no muy bien.. Solomente l'esencial. Pero me gusto et quiero aprender más. Tengo un course de pimsleur para español y es muy buen.. I think.. Better stop as having a head ache from trying to remember !)

Was looking at the Squirrel and it looks great. I will add a link in on the links page as other people will like this too I think.

Thanks again. Have a nice weekend !
Al

Hi mshulman !!

Sorry for delay there. I just had a look in to the group. I am gonna sign in for it too. I think it might be a bit advanced for me but then again it might be good to get me up to speed. But I will try it out to see. Maybe I can help someone there in English. If someone wants to do a technical document, or resume or something like that in English I might be able to help..
Not gonna sign up yet though as will be busy with this project for next few days - as I want to get some bug fixes in.

People look to be very friendly in the group and I like the style of it...

Thanks and have a nice night there,
Al

Default Re:Loading only a DB2 schema

Our DB has 100's of schemas so I created a SchemaList in my DB2cli.ini that is inherited into the ODBC Data Source. The list contains only 6 schemas - the ones of primary interest to me. According to what I have read this should work fine for SQL Excel. I have also tested with the SQuirreL application, and it initializes fast with only the 6 schemas.

This doesn't seem to be working with SQL Excel. This sounds like what was proposed in previous posts.

Any ideas?
